The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement framework that is widely used in software development, engineering, and other domains to enhance the quality, productivity, and performance of organizational processes. It was developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States.
CMMI provides a set of best practices and guidelines for process improvement that are structured around five levels of maturity.
